Be Vigilant

,
We must not allow anyone or anything to stop us from being a vigilant woman for Christ!
Vigilant is described as, “keeping careful watch for possible danger or difficulties.” Be a woman who doesn’t put up with anything that seems off, and who never ignores that gut feeling (intuition) that is trying to warn you about a situation. Listen to it! The enemy is always going to be trying to get you off of your game, so you can’t afford to slack off.
Insecurity – definition is, “uncertainty or anxiety about oneself; lack of confidence.” You mustn’t allow insecurity to run your life. Insecurity keeps you focused on yourself, and places emphasis on your lack of abilities, gifting’s, education, and tells you why you cannot step out and do what you feel God is calling you to do. If you are struggling with insecurity, you need to look in the mirror and tell yourself that you can do all things through Christ because He is your strength. Philippians 4:13
Fight for your identity. When you lose your identity and don’t know who you are in Christ, fear will come in and try to control your every move. You will also find yourself trying to fit in into someone else’s mold (trying to please, desperately looking for affirmation from others) instead of God’s mold. If you’re identity is in Christ then you will seek to glorify Him in all areas of your life. 1 John 2:15-17 “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. 17 And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.”
Focus – Be vigilant about dismantling distractions that are constantly coming at you and trying to take you off course. Proverbs 4:25 “Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you.”
Confidence – The world tells us to believe in ourselves which is not a bad thing but in all seriousness, having confidence that comes from the Lord will carry you through the ups and downs in life. When your confidence comes from the Lord, He’s going to carry you into the rooms of high-profile people, into a job interview that you feel nervous about, into places that only He can take you into, into writing a book that you don’t feel qualified to write, into writing a song that you think is amateur, and into making that dream of yours to become a reality.  Believe in yourself yes but never forget where your faith and confidence comes from. Jeremiah 17:7 “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”
